UGANDAS MOBILE TELEPHONE NETWORKS GO DEAD

In the first week of January, users of the three mobile phone networks in Uganda, MTN, Celtel and Mango found that they could not make or receive calls.

What was happening is that the security people and IT engineers were testing a devilish plan.

The plan that is now tested and ready to go is that they are going to make sure that thousands of election observers and polling agents for the opposition and from abroad will not be able to let the public know how the voting went on February 23, 2006.

According to the plan, around 4:00 p.m. onward on election day, the three networks are going to be switched off and the reason to be given will be that thousands of users were calling to find out the results and the systems became
jammed and failed.

The DP, UPC, FDC, and independent Bwanika are about to have the election stolen from under their noses!

The only hope that the public has now that they will get to know the results live is with the radio stations sending reporters to the voting areas or for the opposition to pool resources and buy satellite phones and distribute them to their campaign agents.

ARMY DEPLOYS AROUND RADIO STATIONS

Since the beginning of November 2005, the UPDF has quietly been positioning soldiers near the premises of radio stations.

There are soldiers camped not far from the Monitor newspaper and KFM radio in Namuwongo, there are soldiers camped in front of Capital Radio in Kamwokya and there are soldiers deployed near CBS (Radio Buganda) in Mengo and other
places in Kampala.

This deployment should be watched and investigated.

MUSEVENIS GENERALS PLAN ELECTION STRATEGY

Musevenis leading generals and loyalists held a meeting at Club Pap in Kampala on January 15 to lay out strategies for dealing with the crisis they face. The meeting was chaired by the chief of Military Intelligence, Colonel Leopold Kyanda.

State House has finally admitted that Museveni has lost his former popularity to the opposition in a big way. The meeting was to decide the way forward.

The main approach was that from now onward, huge amounts of money are to be offered to the main leaders in the opposition parties like FDC and UPC to tempt them to give up the election struggle and weaken their commitment to their parties.

The generals who included Brigadier Noble Mayombo and others called directed General David Tinyefuza and informed him of their resolution. He was asked to follow up on it with an action plan.

Tinyefuza attended a meeting at the Sheraton Hotel on Monday, January 16 to follow up on the issue. We shall keep watching these developments.

BRITISH FOLLOWING MUSEVENI AND HIS GENERALS

The British government is following developments in Uganda and it is interesting how the colonial masters are controlling what is going on.

The British government has broken through the sensitive microwave system which is used to scramble Musevenis phone calls and protect his official vehicles from attack.

Normally when Museveni is traveling, his limousine Benz and Cross Country cars are protected by a microwave field which neutralizes radiation and stops bazookas, bombs, and guns within a certain range from being activated.

The British have managed to penetrate that magnetic field and that is why these days more secrets that are discussed at State House, Rwakitura, and Kisozi are leaking out to the public.

Museveni no longer has secure communication and that is how Winie Byanyima and other people were able to getconcrete evidence of the plans to bribe judges Kasule, Kikonyogo, and Katutsi.

The fear by security is that the British have taken the side of the opposition and are passing on sensitive information to them.

Security fears that the British could decide to assist assassins shoot at Musevenis convoys not that they have found a way of going around his electronic security field.
