NRM LOST THE ELECTION AND APPLIED ITS PLAN B

MANAGED THE ELECTION COMMISSION AND FOREIGN OBSERVERS AND JOURNALIST AND THREATENED THE LOCAL MEDIA.

Ugandans this year, month of Feb. day 23, cast their votes for both Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates all over the country. The day passed on like other days, but a bit different, with long queues of people at polling stations, eager to cast their votes, which showed quite a big turn up than ever in any election that we have had since the movement took power.

At the end of it all there was the "WINNER" & " LOSER" as announced by the Electoral Commission. Though people who from the "winning side" and observers said the election was "free and fair", they only put their attention on the fact that there wasn't a lot of violence during the process, however they did not consider other factors that are paramount so at to have a FREE and FAIR election that among others are worth noting!

On some polling stations, the NRM felt they would lose the election; they deployed military men mixed with LDUs and very few policemen. Here they forgot that the police are there to keep law and order (policing), compared to the army men who are familiar with war (fighting, confrontation) most of the time, which is possible that they together with the LDUs, also most of whom have no right track of keeping law and order, would use their presence to determine a voter's choice that day.

EXPERIENCE AND TALES
One friend of mine from Kamwezi, who lives in Kabale town told me of this bad experience he had during voting day, that he was intercepted on the way to the polling station by Armymen and LDUs wielding guns who were threatening him not to go and vote in that area, he was put on pickup and taken to an other polling station of their choice claiming he did not belong to the station he was heading to even before they let him reach there so they could check, but only to arrive at that station they took him to, the presiding officer knew him very well, he told the army men -who had already started turning pages of the register checking, (incl. a Southwestern Lt- not to mention tribe) that he knew him as a resident of that sub county but that his name was in the register of the other poll. Station (which actually the man himself had already told these army men). Because they felt ashamed maybe, they drove him back to his poll station and on reaching there, they themselves checked in the register to find his name, but hastily, so that they could tell him to leave as his name had not been found and so wasn't in. But the presiding officer for that station also knew him and told the army men that the man belonged on that poll. Station. His name was searched and found in there and besides he had a card.

Worse still, when he was given a ballot paper, the army men instructed one LDU to follow him foot after foot to see whom he voted, from the beginning up to the end. The man was already annoyed with their actions and he actually maintained his earlier stand of ticking all the candidates he had gone to vote for. After casting his vote he was threatened not to keep there, that they said. "make sure you leave this poll. station immediately, we don't want to see you here" He replied angrily to them that he had finished doing what had brought him to that poll station Even when he boarded his motor cycle coming back to Kabale, these same army men followed him but he wanted to pass at home so he diverted and they stopped following him. He has vowed never to spend his money in future to go for voting! Imagine the man is a citizen of Uganda, a resident of Kamwezi (Rukiga county) but he was harassed that way. Such behaviour by the army and LDUs is keeping most of us Ugandans who feel insecure as such a time from casting any future votes to our preferred candidates. This is a true experience and it's a first hand information form the concerned person.

Also, people who had registered, some of them failed to find their names in the register and so they woild not be allowed to vote. This means the electoral commission and the current movement government connived to erase these people's names and photos from the register. This was a common case on many stations and it affected those who registered recently. While on some polling stations they knew they would control and even win, all voters including those who had registered long time and recently were in the registers and voted. This is indirect rigging or stealing of some Ugandans' votes and right to exercise their freedom through a vote, and this makes the NRM's so called DEMOCRACY a bullshit and dream.

Because they know that most people in villages are living below the poverty line (poor), they took them by storm by distributing items like soap, salt, mattresses, sugar, hoes, Pangas etc to them to corrupt their minds against voting the candidate/s of their choice. That's why most of the MPs who were sleepy during the previous parliament/s were voted back in. (e.g. Kabale Municipality MP). Besides, on some stations like Ndorwa, where there was a re-election because of such bad habits that had been unveiled, still, most voters were given money ranging from 20,000= and above on the second day of voting to vote out opposition MPs. That they would stand on the roads/passages towards the poll. Station and whenever they suspected a voter to be heading to the polling station, they would call/approach him/her and give him ENZIBA MAISHO (eye blinder) which they themselves call ENYIGURA MAISHO (eye opener). That is where our nation is heading.

The media throughout the country were blocked from releasing partial results from every district. Overtime these media (Radios & news papers-note independent ones) have been doing the good job of giving us information, which the government claims to be vague/wrong but only to come out later true. This time, they never wanted any person, especially that one living in the village, who solely relies on the radio as his source of information to know their weaknesses. You can imagine now 50% of the voters (if not total population) in the country is on the opposition side. This for sure and as a matter of fact would not give chance the movement to win this election.

Still on the media, e.g. WBS TV & Radio, which used to be Uganda Television and Radio Uganda, plus some FM Radios especially those in the South Western parts like Rukungiri, Mbarara etc, the NRM put more adverts than ever which would be sung after every few minutes compared to the opposition side's adverts. The party that has been mobilizing for so long than any other party still wanted to remain atop of other parties in announcing its goals to the population, which population knows the party's existence and actions, instead they would reserve this money to development projects.

I was told by a friend who works with a certain FM Radio that at times the NRM candidates wanted to bribe and BUY OFF other parties' already booked and paid for air time at a certain radio station. Thank God these managers of the Radio were not very corrupt and so they did not give out this time. This is total hypocrisy and corrupting of people's minds. ThefNRM party feels it is the only party to be listened to, no wonder its members say only one man in Uganda has a "VISION" which I do not believe in.

Look at an example of all the opposition MPs in the South Western part of the country losing their seats and the reverse is true in the North. This means that Museveni knew that he would surely lose in the North and some parts of the south western, so he together with his MPs capitalized in the S. Western where he and his opponents K.B originate and some western parts like Fort Portal, where the NRM either used force (voter intimidation), their agents to steal/rig votes on various polling stations. Find out report about Sembabule. I can't imagine Museveni's NRM taking all votes in Kiruhura, Nshwerenkye polling stations and others of that kind, without any other candidate at least having one vote from there, while in Rukungiri where Rt. Col. Kiiza Besigye is born, they gave more votes to NRM. Not all people living in Kiruhura and Nshwerenkye are pro NRM! Tight investigations by opposition and human rights watch need to be carried out in such areas.

ELook at Rukiga county, where MP Jack Sabiiti is born and has done most of the developments which the local people are enjoying, FDC party lost and this was not even expected by the NRM members themselves. Reliable data shows that a lot of money and household items were given to voters few days before the election, and still tight security was deployed throughout the whole county by the government to favour the NRM during voting, it's said that on some polling stations, people were told to vote on the table instead of voting in the basin. They wanted to make village people feel intimidated and refrain from voting people of their choice regardless of the developments they have done in their areas as long as they are opposition candidates. That's why I guess all those who have been elected to NRM seats are puppets (those that will say, "Yes" to whatever the President speaks whether constructive/developmental or not.

Maybe, another minor issue as said by NRM people, but which leaves me and others bald, if to say, is the involvement of the first lady into direct politics of the country. She had all that she wanted from the president- her husband, even if it meant implementing policies/goals in her mind via the president's manifesto, she sleeps with him and you men and women who are married know what it means to be a wife and husband, it's easy to think alike most times, all of them are the heads! Now she joins the parliament to start fighting with the opposition MPs who may not feel safe about whatever issues that will be raised in parliament that happen not to favour their parties. And since the movement MPs and ministers are going to be the majority in parliament, they will do what they can to suppress the opposition MPs, and we are going to witness many physical fights in the Honourable house because these NRM guys want to forcefully, if to say rule this country without due respect to the opposition parties and their developmental or constructive contributions in the mending of the nation Uganda.

Personal thought:
Actually I suspect that madam J. K Museveni is going to be given a ministry to head, maybe, Gender and Development, or Ethics because she has been dealing with women related issues and she is "Saved". But we know politics is a dirty game, so be prepared to backslide because you will lie to people all the time and you may even attend or have attended before some meetings, which offend other people's personality, etc., and before God that's a sin. Hint: I think madam J K Museveni the best ministry for you is the Information ministry so as to be able to balance religion with politics" because this is a ministry that will make you transmit God's Word during press releases and other media talks on behalf of the government, which will probably make believers and Ugandans trust in whatever the NRM as a party.

Did Northern Uganda send a message to Museveni? What about Town, Municipality & City?
The Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, has won the country's presidential elections through conspirancy and manipulation of the electoral commission and intimidation of the media by jamming some FM radio station and blocking their online tally centres, yet still by a small margin this time, receiving almost 59 per cent of the vote. The main opposition candidate, Kizza Besigye, rejected the result alleging fraud and intimidation and many irregularities and the figures do not add up as Dr KB is about to prove. But international observers said that, overall, the vote was run in a peaceful and orderly way but also gave benefit of taught. Mr Museveni says that he needs another five years in office to carry on the process of the dream of East African Federation, stabilization and modernization. The East African Fedaration wont be achieved by Museveni because the other presidents are aware of his ambition of forming the Tutsi Dynasty. His opponents say he has been running an administration full of corruption and nepotism, sectarian regime. Museveni Yoweri Kaguta lost the 23/2/06 elections but doctored the results. No elections are immune of irregularities on this earth; but it has been a good exercise for Ugandans for the second time when Dr.Col Besigye gives him a run for his money. What is important we know democracy is still a long way and Uganda still needs better electoral mechanisms put in place in the five years so as to ensure better results in the next elections of 2011. For the future of our beloved Country is being decided by rural elites. And in a long run they will pay for Ignorance and disease of misinformation and election choices. One wonders what happened to the Museveni who told in 1987 at Makerere University during the East Africa inter-university games that "any president staying in power beyond fifteen years is counting disaster". Whom will he blame when his own prophesy is fulfilled?

On behalf of Northern and on my own behalf, I beg to inform the whole country and world that the whole election exercise was a bad with statements of intimidations from both Army and police commanders. Museveni's election means more wars and suffering to Uganda in the North and people living in IDP Camps. The Western and parts of Buganda, Busoga might be happy...because through him, they have managed to sideline other Uganda in educational and employment provision in the higher institutions. Under NRM Uganda have completely been striped of its resources through privatization...."the selling of nations resources at below market prices to fake investors who end up doing retailing, wholesaling in rural areas".

Yes we are for democracy. Democracy not only in our respective regions but also in the all Uganda as a nation. We want the Districts and all related Regions developed. We want economic freedom from various and the ministry of finance, employment freedom, eduction and security for all! We must free ourselves from politics of past and doctoral tools of modern enslavement in camps in the North and leaders who thing of there stomach not Uganda. What Message from Northern & Town, Municipalities & Kampala In the Monitor of 28 Jan, 2006 Museveni did not attribute his poor performance in the Northern Region to the 20-year insurgency there, which has left millions of people living in camps. He blamed his loss on the region's political elite whom he accused of "misleading the people".

He said, "They have been telling the people there that the NRM did a wrong thing to defeat the dictatorship of (late Milton) Obote and (late Idi) Amin," he said, "but also it could be that our own cadres are weak and they are not able to explain to the ordinary people about the justness of our fight against those dictatorships."

Museveni also said, "Northerners are always vulnerable to liars like Besigye. This is the third time they have done it and they have of course lost. I therefore think they will learn. They are not bad people but they have got bad leaders." The President might have not also been told that in the same way Town, Municipalities and Kampala city did not vote him. Museveni may be a dictator, but he can't be compared to dictator like Amin.He is in the category of Late Dr Obote who did a good job in the 60s and 80 to 1996. Museveni takes all the credits for the peace, security and prosperity that some parts of country are enjoying today. He surely did not deserve five more years Uganda needed change.

59 per cent of the people in Uganda 'fakely' voted for Mr Museveni in the elections, and we must accept this, and respect their choice. It is unfair for accepting the result and not giving observations. At least it didn't take Uganda many years to find out who their next President was going to be if Museveni was defeated! However no person should say that the Ugandan election was democratic, fair and free when Museveni had all the governmental Human and Hard ware machinery working for him. Uganda has a long road towards democracy and the citizens should not be complacent. NRM supporters in North suffered a major blow after many were voted out of Parliament. President Museveni failed to address LRA insecurity and Karimojong issues. Northerners are tired of his lies and his empty promises. People in the region have suffered enough under this government." When will they see peace, poverty and unemployment come to an end? Poor people have no choice, what happened in the election now and before is the rural deciding the future in other parts of Uganda. Money, intimidation, free mwenge bigere/waragi i.e. Esau (in the Bible) sold his birth right to Jacob, and that is what happens in Uganda. Opposition was competing against, the well established systems of government and non government like churches i.e. Pastor Kayanja etc.

"Ugandan saw who was campaigning and issuing statements against people opposing Museveni on all paper and electronic media," Trumpled up charges against the main opposition leader in order to destroy his credibility and waste his time of campaigning in courts of law, but still that won the main opposition more vote and Museveni had to win through plan B c/o the electoral commission which Museveni elected by himself without any censorship from parliament and this EC was bribed to give results in favour of Museveni. However the rejection of results is about to push the electoral commission into comparing notes; because FDC this time has credible evident as the votes talling sheets that were signed by the agents on all polling stations. Ugandans are enger to see the independence of the judicial services in Uganda once again.

The truth and the only truth is Ugandans cannot freely bring Museveni into power and Museveni has never won any election and will not in his life; he has always doctored and manipulated the situations to suit his ambitions.

FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY
